This Sunday, August 19, 2018, 'Pthelegend' crushed the top Canadian spot with two second-place finishes at PokerStars. While it took a few bullets in each cases, after firing twice in the Sunday Million, 'Pthelegend' ended up taking second for $112,902.43, and then after firing three times in the Sunday 500, also took second for an additional $21,203.97, for a total weekend score of $134,106.40. Sunday Majors on 888poker

The $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep

The usual premier Sunday tournament on 888poker boasts a guarantee of $100,000 for a $215 buy-in. This week saw 330 entries with 163 rebuys creating a total prize pool of $100,000.

This week one Canadian made it all the way to the final table but “RSAA12345” was the first player to exit, collecting $1,750 for ninth place. The winner of the tournament was “radasahk” of Britain who won $17,412.99 after a heads-up deal with countryman 'youler'.

The $80,000 Whale

The Whale is 888poker’s high-roller tournament of the day with a buy-in of $1,050 along with a $80,000 guarantee. This tournament saw a total of 57 entries with 19 rebuys to create a total prize pool of $80,000.

Canada was shut out of this final table. The winner of the tournament was “josef_shvejk” of Russia who won $26,000 for the victory.

Sunday Majors on PokerStars

Sunday Marathon

The biggest tournaments of the day get started on PokerStars every week with the $55 Sunday Marathon featuring a $100,000 prize pool guarantee. This week’s edition had 2,669 entries creating a prize pool worth $133,450.

There were three players sporting the maple leaf beside their name at this final table. “dujo123” won $1,552.57 for eighth place while “jtedecaliss” made it to sixth place for a prize of $3,152.58. The winner of the whole thing also had a maple leaf beside their name, but Chris 'Moorman1' Moorman is a British import who took down the win for a total of $18,524.63.

Sunday Warm-Up

The $215 Sunday Warm-Up heats up the action with a $175,000 guarantee. After late registration there were a total of 1,061 who bought into the tournament to create a total prize pool of $212,200.

There wer no Canadians seated at the final table this week. Swedish player “sasuke234” took the victory, collecting $34,431.27.

Sunday Storm

Moving on to the lowest-priced tournament that could be considered a Sunday major, the $11 Sunday Storm is the best value you’ll find in online poker. Despite the tiny buy-in, the prize pool is set at a guaranteed $150,000. The tournament this week saw 23,177 players enter, creating a prize pool of $227,134.60.

'kayakj' was the only Canadian to Storm the final table. They took home $1,522.73 for eighth place. Belorussian player “NL_Banff” took down first place worth $19,458.85 after a two-way deal.

Sunday High Roller

The highest-priced regular Sunday major on PokerStars is the Sunday High Roller with a hefty buy-in of $2,100 and guaranteeing $125,000 in prizes. With 109 entries this week, the total prize pool ended up at $218,000.

Canada had one player sitting at the final table. Ontario's Sebastian 'p0cket00' Sikorski inched closer to $7 million in PokerStars cash with a sixth place finish worth $12,084.65. The winner was Gary 'quiditbear' Hasson from the Belgium who outlasted them all to collect $49,928.31 on his second bullet.

Sunday Million

This is the most coveted online poker tournament in the world with a buy-in of just $215 but a $1,000,000 guarantee. This time around, entries came to 5,958 to create a total prize pool of $1,191,600.

Two Canadians made the final table this week and '7Phenom1991' was the first exit from the final nine, securing a prize of $9,454.04 while 'Pthelegend' made it to heads up on their second bullet, but had to settle for second place money worth $112,902.43. The win, worth $160,888.26 went to “Hello_Totti” from the Russia.

Mini Sunday Million

Giving the Sunday Million feel for a tenth of the buy-in is the weekly Mini Sunday Million where the buy-in is $22 with a $175,000 guaranteed. This time around there were a total of 9,967 entries to create a total of $199,340 up for grabs. Additionally, this week all players in the final nine received tickets for the Sunday Million.

Canada found three spots in the final nine. 'TNZ204' took fifth place worth $5,388.03 as well as the Sunday Million ticket, but Canadians Mark 'Paulharvey3' Dietrich and Aaron 'Asoul3381' Soulliere ended up battling each other for the title. They made a deal that saw Soulliere take second for $19,000 while Dietrich notched the win for $21,671.65.

Sunday 500

With a buy-in of $530, the Sunday 500 guarantees $100,000. A total of 303 entries beat the guarantee, coming in at $151,500 to play for.

Just one player with the maple leaf made the final table. It took 'Pthelegend' three bullets, but they followed up their runner-up finish in the Sunday Million with another second place worth $21,203.97. The winner was “mikozir” from Greece who pocketed $28,530.05 for the victory.

Sunday Supersonic

The Sunday majors conclude on PokerStars with the $215 Sunday Supersonic — a six-max hyper-speed tournament with a $125,000 guarantee. This week a total of 787 entries pressed their luck to create a total prize pool of $161,146.12.

No Canadians made the final six this week, but Canadian 'cwigs192' was the final table bubble, collecting $3,896.69 for seventh place. The winner was “iulian21” from Bulgaria, collecting $21,760.21 after a heads up deal that saw Brazilian 'Luizftorres' win $24,685.36 for second.

Sunday Warm-Up-H

The Sunday Warm-Up-H offers a $100,000 prize pool guarantee on a $215 buy in. This week, the tournament saw 476 entries which meant the prize pool guarantee wasn't quite met, and stayed at $100,000.

Canada failed to find a spot in the final nine, but the winner was Malta's 'z-boooo' for a prize of $18,850.

Sunday High Roller-HR

The Sunday High Roller-HR features a $1,050 buy-in and a prize pool guarantee of $100,000. With 109 entrants this week, the prize pool came to $109,000.

Canada only had a single player make the final nine in this one but Canada's own “KERRMODE” took down the whole thing for a score of $26,705.

Sunday Big Bounty Hunter-HR

The Sunday Big Bounty Hunter-HR kicks off the bounty events. It has a $1,050 buy-in with $150,000 guaranteed. This week there were 166 entrants to create a prize pool of $169,320 with $83,000 set aside for bounties.

The win went to Sweden's “Drulitooo” for $16,766.92 plus an additional $20,336.88 for taking seven bounties as Canada failed to find a seat at the final table.

Sunday Bounty Hunter-H

The Sunday Bounty Hunter-H gives the bounty hunt feel for a lower price point. For $215, players are guaranteed a $100,000 prize pool, including bounties. This week 543 entries brought the prize pool to $111,858, with $57,558 devoted to bounties.

Canada fielded fully one-third of the final table for this one. 'fizzygypsy' took down seventh place for $1,243.47 plus $563.12 for four bounties while 'AlligatorBLUD' went all the way to fourth place for $3,393.75 plus $3,071.50 for 11 bounties. The winner this week was also Canadian, “momotown87' who bested the field to take home $10,121.52 plus another $11,193.86 for 11 bounties.

Sunday Super High Roller-SHR

The Sunday Super High Roller-SHR gives the deepest bankrolls a shot at $150,000 guaranteed prize pool for $2,600 buy in. This week, 83 entries brought the total prize pool to $207,500.

There were no Canadians at this final table, but Germany's 'ACHSO8000' was the player with all the virtual chips at the end, collecting $54,987.50 for the win.

Sunday Main Event-HR

The Sunday Main Event-HR is the high roller version of partypoker's Sunday Main Event. For $530, players get a chance at $125,000 in guaranteed prizes. This week's edition saw 316 entries making a prize pool of $158,000.

Canada ended up with three players in the final nine. 'i remember' took seventh place worth $4,308.66 but Canadians Kristen 'Krissyb24' Bicknell and 'uwannagobud' ended up heads up for the title. Bicknell settled for second place and a $21,407.10 bankroll boost, while 'uwannagobud' ended up on the top of the pile, grabbing $29,498.90 for the win.

Sunday Main Event-H

The Sunday Main Event-H offers a slightly lower price point into partypoker's Sunday Main Event. For $109, players are guaranteed $125,000. With 1,204 entries this week, that prize pool guarantee of $125,000 was what they were playing for.

Kevin 'MattSplatt' Gibson from Grimsby, Ont. was the only Canadian to break into the final nine, finishing sixth for $3,350. Estonian player 'chul0IssI' took down the win, for a score of $21,312.50.

Sunday Bounty Hunter-HR

The Sunday Bounty Hunter-HR offers high rollers a shot at the Bounties. For $525, players competed for $150,000 in guaranteed prizes. This week, 302 entries showed up, creating a prize pool of $154,775, with $79,275 set aside for the bounties.

Canadians found three seats at this week's final table. 'RingelStink' ended up sixth for a main prize of $2,944.50 plus $3,687.31 for eight bounties. 'AntiReapCity' took third place for $7,625.50 plus $2,756.26 for seven bounties while 'nolet20' made it all the way to second place and $10,872 plus $5,010.08 for seven bounties. The winner this week was Russian 'IlllIllilll' who won $15,024.50 from the main pool, as well as $17,421.53 more for nine bounties.

Hello_totti Poker Names

The Sunday Bounty Hunter-H gives players that same bounty hunt feel for a lower price point. For $109, pl;ayers got a chance to compete for $150,000 in guaranteed prizes. This week, 1,224 entries meant the guarantee wasn't beaten, and players played for $150,000.

Canada didn't seat any players to this final table but Germany's 'id3f1x89' took down the top spot this week, for a score of $13,301.11 from the main pool as well as an additional $6,206.72 for knocking out 11 players.

The latest EPT Online High Roller title has been won by Mikita Badziakowski, but he was joined on almost exactly the same amount of money by Matthias Eibinger in a two-way deal heads-up that gave both men bragging rights.

The 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour Online has only been running for four days, but the big names are already hoovering up the biggest prizes.

Two of those players were Mikita Badziakowski the Belarussian and Austrian high roller powerhouse and Pokercode co-creator Matthias Eibinger, who surfaced in the $10,300-entry event to win just over $220,000 each.

The final nine assembled on Wednesday night and it was a British player who was busted first, with Conor Beresford biting the dust to earn a payday of $33,035. He was followed out of the door by Canadian poker boss Timothy Adams, who banked $39,498 for his efforts.

Another British player was to depart in 7^th place, with Bert Stevens, better known by the online moniker ‘girafganger7’, busting for a prize of $51,445.

The entire final table took just 150 minutes to complete, as the 109 entries were whittled down to a winner – just 13 players making the money – and two quick bust-outs came next in Mike ‘SirWatts’ Watson (6^th for $67,006) and Daniel Smiljkovic from Austria ($87,274).

With just four players left, everyone was in six-figure territory in terms of prizes, the bulk of the $1.09million prizepool being paid out to the final four. First, ‘hello_totti’ from Russia went in 4^th place for $113,673, then German player Christian Rudolph missed out on heads-up when he busted in 3rd place for $148,058.

He’ll be gutted to have missed out on the final two places, if only for the fact that they paid out almost the same amount. Both Eibinger and Badziakouski were happy to do a ‘chop’ deal, cashing for almost exactly the same amount. It was the Belarussian who won the final hand and adds ‘EPT High Roller winner’ to his CV, but the prize money below shows you just how much that title was worth in the end.

As Badziakowski said in the chat box before the final hand, “”ok next hand flip book and then keep going till i bust you”.

It didn’t take long.
