The newest online service from MARINA is out. The new MARINA SID/SRB online appointment system caters the issuance and renewal of SID (Seafarers Identity Document) and/or SRB (Seafarer’s Record Book).
This is a separate service from MISMO. Thus, does not need any registration or need to create a new account. It is built for one transaction use – meaning, once you set out an appointment with SRB or SID, that’s it.
Other STCW functions are still in MISMO like COP, COP, Examinations, etc.
Creating an SRB appointment – step by step process
Go to the SID/SRB website at https://sidsrb.marina.gov.ph. Click on Start Now button.

You can select which branch and what transaction type you need. Different MARINA Branches offers different services. Make sure to check the transaction type of your desired branch. Some branches only caters Certification and no Examination.
After clicking, Agree to Terms and Conditions.
This window will appear once you click the I Agree button. You have the freedom to choose which MARINA Office you want to transact with. In addition, choose the date and the time slot at your most convenience.
After choosing your desired place, date and time, click the button Next: Application Details.
Then, you will be brought to the window where you can choose the type of application, the document type and the category. In this option, you can choose between Issuance (New) and Renewal.
Several other options are available. In addition, you can also select Seafarer Identity Document (SID). But for this example, we’ll going to choose the Seafarers Record Book (SRB).
The next window will let you enter your personal information. Provide them in the box appropriate.
After you fill up, click the Next: Scanned Documents button.
Then, prepare the following documents ready to be uploaded. Make sure that your documents file size must not be greater than 300kb, has minimum of 150dpi and must be in grey scale not colored.

Next, after uploading, click the Next: Review button. The next window will let you review the details you have entered including the documents. Go through it again, make sure everything is in order.
Finally, after reviewing, click the Submit button.
Once you click the Submit button, Login to your nominated email address. You will receive an email from [email protected]. Click the CONFIRM YOUR APPOINTMENT link.
A separate email message will be sent to you. It contains attachment from MARINA regarding the confirmation of your appointment. PRINT IT. Bring it on the day of your appointment.
MARINA SID/SRB Online Appointment definitely has its advantages and disadvantages like MISMO. That is what we have to deal with. Yes, it is convenient but it may take too much time to get done.
