Casino In Reykjavik Iceland

The Reykjavik Casino Club Bar is interesting, and well to be completely honest quiet lonely. We found great humor in the place. We are not gamblers, but as we took a stroll through the downtown area one evening we stumbled across this bar and thought we could stop in for a drink if nothing else. Based on the name and what we saw inside we were unsure as to what the exact purpose of this establishment was. Was it a bar? or a Casino in the heart of Iceland’s capitol?

Casino Club Bar, a bar/ betting pub in downtown Reykjavik

Upon entering this bar in Reykjavik, we found several digital gambling machines, most of which with empty seats. Most of the slot machines had very unique programming. Additionally, there was of course a bar. The drink choices were satisfactory, but not over the top. Which led me to believe that this was more likely casino type establishment. We enjoyed some Viking brew and Wine, and stayed for about an hour to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. In the hour or so that we were there we played about $20.00 USD in the slots, and won absolutely nothing. Not a single winning pull. We saw two or three others playing constantly, and from the looks of it they were in the same boat as us. Maybe it just wasn’t our night.

The long and short of it is that if you are looking for a Casino in downtown Iceland you have found your place, if your looking for a hopping bar keep looking or try Enski Barinn, an English Pub a few streets over. Next >> Enski Barinn
